When you first contact MIS, you will speak to one of our local and friendly claim handlers who will take all the details needed to start the process of your claim. On this same phone call, if all the details have been obtained, your claims handler will organise your vehicle repairs at a body shop or repair centre close to you, or, if required, an inspection of your vehicle by an independent engineer. We have a range of approved repairers who are authorised by ourselves and various insurance companies. Approved repairers liaise directly with us and provide us with regular updates on repairs so we can ensure there are no unnecessary delays in getting you back on the road again in your own vehicle. With approved repairers you also receive 3 years guarantee on repairs.
Whilst your vehicle is in for repairs, the approved repairer can also supply you with a small courtesy car. However, if you require a vehicle of a similar make, model and specification to your own, we have our own private fleet of hire vehicles of which we can supply a replacement vehicle to you for free, ensuring as little inconvenience to you as possible. If your vehicle is declared a total loss/write off we will liaise with the relevant insurance company for speedy settlement of your claim so you can purchase another vehicle. You’ll remain in our hire car, if required, until you receive your cheque and are able to purchase another vehicle to ensure you are not left without a vehicle and can continue to go about your everyday business and journeys.
